PUBLIC SAFETY SOFTWARE TRAINING

Mutiara developed the Training Center Needs Assessment Software, specifically for public safety training centre.

Many factors contribute to the successful planning and implementation of a public safety training centre. The first step in the business planning process is the Training Needs Assessment. The needs assessment identifies the type of facilities needed such as classrooms, training props and infrastructures. It than identifies, documents and validates these requirements not only for the short term but for many years to come. After collecting a huge amount of data it then must be organized, stored and be retrievable in a format that is useful to the training centre planners.

To assist the training centre planners, Mutiara developed the Training Center Needs Assessment Software, specifically for public safety training centre. The software database enables users to quickly and efficiently enter data for each training class and then organize it, sort it, and create customized reports. We provide training to the agencies involved in Public Safety Service at MERS999 training center.

In the case of a digital trunked radio system, the system also manages time slots on a single physical channel. The function of carrying simultaneous conversations over a single channel is called multiplexing. This is another forte of Mutiara Teknologi (M) Sdn Bhd.

Instead of channels, radios are related by groups which can be classified as, groups, talk groups, or divided into a hierarchy such as fleet and subfleet, or agency-fleet-subfleet. These can be thought of as virtual channels which appear and disappear as conversations occur.

The Series includes Face Capture, Flow Analysis and Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) capabilities.

The Facial Recognition cameras provide face tracking and face picture grading as well as face detection and face capture. This means they can provide a better captured picture, with better angle, better quality and a higher matching score. This comes in very useful for target recognition in perimeter detection and city solutions.

Flow Analysis allows the camera to track how people move through an area, which comes in handy when managing queues. Alerts can be set for the operator when a queue length gets beyond a certain number of people, so that extra cash registers can be opened in a retail environment, for example. This data can also be useful when analysed to give insights into where people are congregating in an area and how they are getting there. This gives valuable information for designing interiors in all kinds of industries.

The Enhanced ANPR camera can now identify first whether an object is a car or something else (a person or a bush, for example). Once this identification is made, then it can go on to recognising the number plate and identifying it. This process means that the system is not wasting resources applying number plate recognition algorithms to something that’s not a vehicle. The camera also supports driving direction, alerts when there’s no license plate at all and the ability to capture small license plates, such as on a motorbike.
